Project Overview

After a long history at Greer Stadium in South Nashville, the Nashville Sounds and city of Nashville voted to relocate the team and build a new stadium in North Nashville. They chose the historic Sulphur Dell site that was home to Nashville’s first professional baseball team back in 1885.

Construction of the new, 10,000 seat minor league, multi-use stadium has a much shorter story than that of the historic land beneath it- from groundbreaking to opening day was only 13 months!

Included in our scope was the removal of over 76,000 tons (more than 3,600 loads) of non-hazardous, contaminated material that was trucked to Cedar Ridge Landfill in Lewisburg, TN. We also installed a storm system and wet wells to collect and discharge rain water runoff from the bowl and field that is approximately 10 feet below the 100-year flood plain. Once again, we rose to the challenge of helping to complete this project on schedule, just in time for a sold-out crowd on opening day.
